Tasting -Rubus Chardonnay Colchagua Valley 2022

Wine tasting

  • The wine I tasted today was a Rubus Chardonnay from Colchagua Valley, in central Chili dated 2022.

  • It was given a rating of 88 and was quoted to have "smells of beeswax and candied fruit in yogurt." from vinepair.com(https://vinepair.com/review/rubus-chardonnay/)

  • When  tasted the wine I honestly did not enjoy it to much I'm not sure if its because I haven't had a lot of chardonnay's previously or the taste itself. Upon gathering an aroma from the bottle I picked up acidy tones as well as a mixture of light fruits. When tasting however, I did not really pick up the fruity hints and instead was met with more acidy and buttery notes which I personally did not enjoy.

  • In the future I would like to try a couple other chardonnay to experiment with different taste and compare the differences between the two.
