Tasting-2021 Weingut Karl Erbes Urziger Wurzgarten Riesling Kabinett Mosel

Weekly Tasting

  • The wine is a Riesling or white grape variety originally from Germany more closely the Rhine region. its vintage year is 2021 and it costed 22$ at the vintage cellar.

  • The Wine enthusiast website had consistent ratings of 80-90 out of a one hundred for this wine and a lot of people enjoyed its light taste and tropical flavors. https://www.wineenthusiast.com/buying-guide/karl-erbes-2021-urziger-wurzgarten-spatlese-riesling-mosel/

  • "Ripe and tropical version, this sports grapefruit, passion fruit and mineral hints, highlighted by bracing acidity. Builds up more concentration on the focused, spice-infused finish. — Aleks Zecevic" (From wineenthusiast.com)

  • When tasting the wine I first noticed the strong smells from the cup a scent that was dominated by sweetness, however as I continued I began to notices hints of lemon and cantaloupe the most. Upon tasting the wine I also tasted the cantaloupe as the sweetness of the grapes involved while the melony and lemon flavors pulled the sweetness into a more zesty and deep flavour. Over all I enjoyed it a lot and for the price as well as how easy it was to discern I would recommend this to other beginners.
